Tips are the tender buds of tea plants which are covered with fine hairs called "Pubescence". These hairs give a silvery appearance to the buds and when coated with the juices of the leaves during the manufacturing process, changes to golden color.

The cell content of the bud is in a concentrated form and the flavour producing component called "Theaflavin"is high in these buds. During the manufacturing process the leaves are withered and rolled in rollers with minimum pressure and the juice exuding from the leaves gets coated on to the buds.

Glendale Aurea gives a bright yellow liquor with a pleasant aroma which is characteristic to this tea. Glendale Aurea is a very light, soothing tea to drink.
